Srinagar, May 23 (KNO): The students pursuing MBA from Kashmir University through Sir Syed Memorial (SSM) College here on Saturday accused the authorities of ignoring their plights, saying that amid lockdown they have been asked to deposit fee for two semesters in one go. Talking to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), one of the students said that they have been told to deposit fee for two semesters including third and fourth which amounts to Rs 50, 000. “My father is professionally a driver and he has not earned even a single penny due to the present situation and how is it possible for the students like me to deposit such a huge amount at this juncture,” he said. He added that although they didn’t complete the previous (Second) semester, but the authorities are pushing them to the wall by asking them to pay fee and that too in one go. He further stated that the authorities are also asking to pay for fresh registration in the new semester, which is adding to their miseries. They appealed the concerned higher ups as well as the Lieutenant Governor Girish Chnadra Murmu to look into the matter and ensure the students will not face hardships at this juncture –(KNO)
